Mitsueda

A yakuza of Tennyo Island who takes the contract on Satoko and hires Shinpei to carry it out — the intermediary whose deal brings the noblewoman and the assassin together.

Mitsueda is a broker of dangerous things. When a client wants Satoko Kirigaya abducted and killed, he arranges both — and outsources the killing to Shinpei Gotō. He is, in a literal sense, the reason the two leads ever meet.

Money drives him and he will use any means to get it, yet he is not a simple villain: he carries a warmth and a code that complicate his ruthlessness, and his choices ripple across the story long after the deal is struck.
